Installed Shark007 Standard Codecs version 3.08. Entered file types with window filetype associations. I set Windows Media Player 12 set as 32 bit default. My question is do I have to do anything with the 64bit components or just leave it alone? My system is 64bit with Windows 10 installed.

As long as the 32bit codecs have been installed and the player is working just fine, then there is nothing to be done in this case. In some cases, the 64bit codecs will be needed by media players that don't recognize the 64bit ones. As long as the codecs are installed correctly on your computer, then there is nothing to be done. Just open your favorite media player and play the files you already have.
I installed Standard version 3.08 and then next installed advanced version 5.68, but when I look in installed programs I have 64bit settings, settings application 32bit, uninstall 32 bit advanced, uninstall x64 bit components. What happened to Standard Codecs version 3.08, as it not listed in installed programs? Is everything OK the way it is?

You shouldn't install Standard and Advanced. It's either one or the other, because it can cause conflicts on your computer. The Standard package can be more than enough to play all the files on your computer. The Advanced package activates automatically the following codecs: H264 / AVC, hi10p / HEVC.
I recommend removing one and keep only one version of the codecs installed. For additional info visit the official website: http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html
